Round up below courtsey of Gerry Byrne ......
Hi all,
Averages are early this week as there were only three matches that count and, thanks to all involved, I have the cards already.
Given there are only 3 matches I have decided to leave all qualification or minimum figures unchanged for this week.
Batting
Reinhardt remains on top, though his average has tumbled dramatically because he got out for a second time! The aggregate figures have changed as Simmi Singh got a second big hundred for Old Belvedere and is now over 450. Second is Ben Dunk at 374 and Trent, who did not play, is down to third. Those are the only three over 300 runs.
Bowling
New leader this week as Lanky has reached the qualification mark and his edged ahead of Simon Willis, though only narrowly. Eddie Richardson is joined as leading wicket taker by Sameer Dutt of Old Belvedere on 16 each.
Catches
Field is pretty well unchanged sicne last week though 3 catches for AJ Coetzee of CYM has brought him into the picture.
Wicket keeping
Nip and tuck continues at the top with Theo Lawson edging ahead of Dara by 1. Between those two and Mike Martin and maybe others this could be a close run thing throughout the season.
All Roudners
That big hundred has jumped Simmi to the top of this table, 130 odd points ahead of Ben Dunk whose score at the weekend has brought him to second, and Sameer down to third.
All the best to all of you.
Gerry

FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON
Hat-Trick, Triple Wicket Maiden, Century Opening Partnership, 2 Fifties, A TIE.
The first competitive outdoor game of the season between Malahide Comunity School Junior XI v Gonzaga had it all. Gonzaga were bowled out for 155 in 25 overs. Thomas Richardson dragged Malahide back into the game with a magnificent hat-trick. In fact, he was on second hat-trick but just failed and finished with 5/30. Youth International Hugo Mays hit a blistering 90* for Gonzaga but somehow the pain was eased by his Malahide connection. His Grandfather (Ronnie), Father (Kevin) and his Uncle (Brendan) all played for Malahide moons ago.
Adam Coghlan (59) and Alan Reynolds (59) set about the mammoth task by putting on 109 for the first wicket. Both batted skilfully against 2 current Irish Under 15 bowlers in Mays and Dockrell. In the end, we needed 21 off the last 2 overs and got 20 to end with a tie. Ian Guerin also scored a valuable 13.
Scores:
Gonzaga 155/10 – 25 overs
Malahide CS 155/2 – 25 overs
Malahide CS: Reynolds A (Capt), Coghlan A (vc), Chambers R, Connellan M, Cook N, Dawkins S, Guerin I, Kelly S, Richardson T, Chase P, Daley-Curtin M
